Keith Olbermann Special Comment On Health Care Reform
http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml
An Open Letter To President Obama
Mr President,
I am writing to urge you to speak out publicly against the current form of the Senate health care reform bill. I cannot support a health care bill that provides a mandate without an affordable option such as the much promised public option, a Medicare buy in, or being single payer. With that said I also cannot support candidates who have helped to sell this country out to the corporate interests, and the health insurance industry.
Please sir do the right thing and push for meaningful reform and let the fools in congress who wish to kill health care reform do so and then put it squarely on their shoulders. You were elected on a promise of meaningful change, and I am starting to lose hope, but I will continue to support those who stand strong in the face of corporate and political interests to do what is right for the United States of America and its people. Please do not simply accept a bill for the sake of passing a bill. If it takes time to do what is right that is fine, but please do not accept mediocrity in health care reform.
Respectfully,
Rev. Jeremy Cook
