Bah Humbug!
Well here it is the weekend after Thanksgiving. I hope all had a wonderful day of thanks. Next up the big Christmas/New Year combo. I hope none have assumed from the title that I am anti- holiday. Quite the opposite. Everything I am against at this time of year is the subject of the rest of this article.

US election: Barack Obama negotiates 30-minute TV spot with CBS, NBC and Fox | World news | guardian.co.uk
Just when some thought that the modern white supremacist movement had adopted the calmer language of scientific racism, along came Hal Turner. A belligerent, foul-mouthed talk show host, Turner is the maestro of radio hate — a man who rants about a "Portable Nigger Lyncher" machine, "faggots," "savage Negro beasts," "bull-dyke lesbians" and "lazy-ass Latinos ... slithering across the border." And that is just the beginning.

I Might Have Been Wrong!! Bush Might Not Be As Stupid As I Have Given Him Credit For.

"Fascism - A system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism."
American Heritage Dictionary, 1983
We will overthrow Parliament in a legal way through legal means. Democracy will be overthrown with the tools of democracy." Adolf Hitler
"All effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand." Adolf Hitler
George W. Bush says:
I can't make this stuff up. These are actual quotes of George W. Bush
"You know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror."
"The same folks that are bombing innocent people in Iraq were the ones who attacked us in America on September the 11th."
"My plan reduces the national debt, and fast. So fast, in fact, that economists worry that we're going to run out of debt to retire."
“You can fool some of the people all the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on.”
“I am mindful not only of preserving executive powers for myself, but for predecessors as well.”
"A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it.”
“See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda."
July 24 2007-- Bush Discusses War On Terror with Troops in South Carolina--highlighted official transcript.
___________________________________________________________________
Folks, we are living in very dangerous times. I could continue listing the quotes of Bush for days, but I think we get the point. As we are now in the grips of the worst economic crisis in this country since the Great Depression of my grandparents it seems to me we get a little closer everyday to the goal of this President, and the extreme right.
How many folks know that as of October 1, 2008 the First Brigade of the Third Infantry Division is deployed on American soil, attached to NORTHCOM to control any insurrections and emergencies as decided by the President. The stated mission of this deployment is to use the same crowd control techniques they used in Iraq and to assist with natural and man-made disasters. By this action Mr. Bush has struck down the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, which was written to limit the law enforcement capacities of American troops on American soil. As with any good legislation there are loop holes. Previous presidents have eroded the act for the purposes of fighting the war on drugs.
Mr. Bush also led the charge to change to the 1807 Insurrection Act to broaden the powers of the president to use military force to put down a loosely defined insurrection. With the Constitution already giving the president the right to temporarily suspend habeus corpus, Mr. Bush's power to label a group of protesters or voters as insurgents is strengthened. Habeus Corpus is the legal principle that keeps the Federal government from arresting people and holding them with out trial. Mr. Bush has clearly shown his disdain for habeus corpus with his actions at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average has had the worst five day period ever in its 112 year history. Members of Congress were apparently threatened with martial law if they failed to vote in the economic bailout plan the first time. This was documented by C-SPAN television and is now widely available on You Tube. The government is effectively nationalizing banks and financial institutions.
Mr. Bush and his cronies have eroded the freedoms and rights we enjoy on this country, and now they are strangling us with insane economic policies. We the People are buying this hook line and sinker. John McCain and Sarah Palin are attacking the "liberal" media in fashion that would have made Hitler proud.
We are being choked slowly by the insane energy policies we have in this country. "Drill, Drill, Drill," is not the answer. We need oil and natural gas to bridge us to the next 10 to 15 years. We must stop giving billions that we don't have to terrorist nations such as Saudi Arabia, whose leaders are close friends of the Bush family.
There is only one solution to all of this. It is "We the People." It is time for us to take control of our country. It is time to vote in new leadership in the White House, and Congress. It is time that we mandate that our leaders return us to our full status as a democracy in the world. It is time to get all of the lobbyist out of Washington. It is time to clean house America.
To all of my Republican friends and family, it is not my wish to alienate anyone with this post. I believe we have all been duped by this. Our founding fathers had the wisdom to build the framework of this country they way they did. The wrote in the Declaration of Independence of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as rights that all are endowed with.
They wrote the constitution so as to ensure that we have freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, and be protected from unlawful search and seizure. It is our duty to ensure that we maintain these freedoms and protect them for all future generations. It is not about our religion, or our basic political principles. This is about taking back our country from would be dictators.
There are many who will say this is all fanciful conspiracy theory. I hope you are right. My biggest fear right now is that you are not. All I can say is be prepared for the worst, and be prepared to defend this country in the streets if necessary.
The first thing all Americans must do is vote. If you do not vote you are voluntarily giving up your freedom.

39 Days left: More McSame
I hope you all watched the debate tonight with John McCain and Barak Obama. I thought Obama looked presidential tonight where as McCain looked like the grumpy old man who yells at you to get off his lawn when you were a kid. Anyway I will get into the issues a bit later, but wanted to post my latest video here for you to see. Please enjoy and vote for change in 39 days.

40 days left: What do you want for this country?
There are only 40 days left until this critical election. The links below are to an exclusive interview Katie Couric did with Sarah Palin. Part one and two are about 15 minutes total, and unfortunately you have to watch approximately 30 seconds of commercials. The excerpt about her foreign policy experience is only about a minute and a half with 30 seconds of commercials.
I am not sure that Palin is qualified to run a wet paper bag in my humble opinion. She has excited the far right wing of the Republican Party, when they were not very excited about John McCain. But that is her best asset in this campaign.
And speaking of John McCain, why is it that he would lie to David Letterman and skip out on his show. His pretense for skipping out was to go to Washington to work on the economic crisis. Turns out he was down the hall doing an interview with Katie Couric. He is also trying to skip out on the debate Friday.
The fact is that John McCain and Sarah Palin are more of the same. We will get more war, more cronyism, more economic trouble, and more scandal. My Republican friends always tell me that if we elect Barak Obama, that he will raise taxes. The truth is we are going to have to pay for the last eight years at some point. We will also have to pay for what the next President does as well.
I don't know about you, but I would rather pay taxes to make sure we have a sane energy policy that involves clean energy technology. Investing now in clean energy improves our economy.
I would rather pay taxes to make sure that every American has quality health care provided to them. The fact is that as a nation we have the highest health care cost of the industrialized nations of the world, while at the same time having the lowest quality health care of those same countries. It is time for health care reform in this country. Investing in health care improves our economy.
I am willing to pay more taxes for rebuilding economy if the cost is less than doing the same things that have gotten us into this mess.
My question to you is this: What are you willing to pay for? Are you willing to pay for these things I have mentioned or are you more interested in paying for failing policies, more war and scandal.
The great thing is that Barak Obama has repeatedly said that he will cut taxes for 95% of Americans. For more information please take time to visit the following link and read the Obama/Biden Blueprint For Change.
Look I know we are all busy and don't have time to read or watch all of the information about the candidates and issues in this election. But it is time for the People to rise to the challenges that are currently facing this nation. The most important thing we can do is vote. In many areas the ballot is extremely long. I recommend voting with a mail in ballot. It will save you time from standing in what are promising to be long lines at the voting booth.

** Indian government survives vote **
It is interesting how we deal with different countries in regards to nuclear capacity. We are arguing with North Korea, and threatening Iran, but we are giving nuclear technology to India, while allowing them to keep their nuclear weapons program. What makes this so terrible is that India is thus far being resistant to signing the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
It is also interesting that this hasn't been over publicized in this country. I had to read British news to find out. What is the rush to get this deal done and ratified before the election in the United States. What underhandedness is George W. working at now?

It is Time to Deal with China
Commentary:
When will our elected leaders, the peoples represenatives step up and deal with China? The Chinese Government should be put on notice that it must be an example in the world or suffer the consequences. We the people must stand up and tell the Chinese Government to be responsible for a better future for the world. It is bad enough that they supply us faulty goods such as toys and pet foods that are dangerous, but now they are a state sponsor of genocide in the Darfur region of Africa.
We the people of the United States of America must stand up and take control of our country. We can do this buy not buying products made in countries that have poor records on trade, human rights, genocide, terrorism, and energy policy. The people of the United States have mass buying power in the world. We have the ability to influence the world with our wallets.
We like to bitch that our companies are sending our jobs overseas, but we buy most of our products from China at that great American company Wal-Mart. It is time to use our purchasing power to tell China that supporting genocide is absolutley wrong. Stop buying Chinese made products. This is the best way to bring jobs back to America.
When possible buy locally or regionally manufactured items. This reduces carbon dioxide levels significantly. This creates local or regional jobs. When we pay a little more for our products, our companies can pay their employees a little better, which trickles back into the economy. And if we must trade with overseas companies in this global age, let us at least support countries and companies where fair wages are paid, and are not supporting world suffering.
This concept requires a leap in thinking. It requires that one see the interconnectedness, and interdependence of all humanzee made systems. When one can see these things they can begin to apply common sense to government. As the humanzee species becomes more interconnected with the internet, we can exert more control over our leaders in all countries of the world including our own. It is the Axe Makers Gift.
We can apply this same purchasing power to energy. Buy a clean energy vehicle and tell our leaders that we do not wish to be involved in the unstable geo-politice of the middle east. By clean energy for your home or business. It is time for the people to use our power to better the world.

"We must increase our domestic energy production to reduce costs and our dependence on rouge nations for oil. Generation from solar, wind, and bio fuels, as well as nuclear, is important, but we will also need more natural gas. This means opening up the Roan plateau in Colorado, as well as the vast reserves on America's Outer Continental Shelf. We can and must work together to find real solutions to address our energy needs in an environmentally responsible way."
I emailed him suggesting that he and Congress find their fortitude and pass a truly clean energy bill that mandates clean energy and funds clean green technology as an alternative to war over oil. I also asked if this taxpayer funded mailer was made of recycled materials in environmentally friendly manner. Please contact him and let him know that Colorado's Wilderness, or Americas ocean environments are not for sale. He can be reached at Congressman Doug Lamborn, Colorado 5th . Not from Colorado? Visit http://www.usa.gov/, to contact your Representatives in Congress and ask them to protect America's wilderness whether on land or sea from being sold out to feed our unhealthy addiction to prehistoric swamp muck.
A good starting point if you have been in a cave for the last 10-20 years. Green is the way to go not only for the environment, but also to change the Geo-politics of the middle east. Imagine no war over oil.
